The Master of Science program in data engineering allows students with a background in STEM disciplines to focus their analytical, programming and engineering skills to integrate messy data into clean, usable datasets. Students will use programming languages, SQL, and other software to creatively solve data-related problems and optimize data pipelines. It is a 33-hour program.

Required courses

All students will take 15 hours of core courses to give a firm foundation in data engineering.

General data engineering track

Students will take a total of 15 hours for this track.

Students will choose two, 3-hour courses from the list of courses below and then consult with an advisor to choose any two 5000-level CSCE courses.
