EDLE 6150 - Equity, Ethics, and Policy in Change Leadership3 hours
Doctoral seminar designed to explore the intersection of issues related to ethical and moral leadership, attention to equity and social justice, and the role of policy within educational contexts and the educational enterprise. Students will review ethical and theoretical frameworks; critically examine educational policies and how they support or contradict efforts toward the achievement of social justice and equity; and discover ways to undertake an advocacy role to influence educational policies that promote an equity orientation and show promise to achieve social change. Students are expected to apply the course content to specific problems of practice in educational leadership topics most relevant to the challenges of 21st century educational leadership.
