CJUS 4720 - Student Police Academy

Students explore careers in law enforcement by participating in simulations and experiential learning activities. Affords an opportunity to engage in critical discussion with law enforcement officers about the role of policing. Topics covered include police recruiting/hiring, the life of a police officer, mental health issues in law enforcement, the use of force, search and seizure, and de-escalation strategies.
