EDRE 5653 - Making the Literacy Connection: Language to Reading

Study of the development of literacy in young children through oral language, listening comprehension, alphabetic knowledge, print awareness and reading. Addresses young children’s communication, native language, age-appropriate characteristics and appropriate instructional techniques to support literacy and reading. Includes techniques for assessment and evaluation of early language development.
