Addresses migration across borders and its impact on students in grades pre-K through 12. The educational needs of transnational students are marked by the crossing and re-crossing of borders. Consequently, instructional pedagogical practices need to be centered on the notions of culturally responsive pedagogy and transformational curriculum. Drawing upon the experiences of transnational students and their teachers, this course will examine educational policies and practices grounded on asset-based approaches to the education of transnational youth.
