AARS 6840 - Organizations for Aging and Health Services

Provides students with an understanding of the nature, structure and functioning of large-scale organizations in the fields of aging and health. Rational and conflict models from the social and managerial sciences are used to analyze the creation, operation, growth, transformation and decline of governmental agencies, and for-profit and not-for-profit service providers, including federal institutes, regulatory agencies, advocacy organizations, and foundations that impact long-term care and home health care programs.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the doctoral program in health sciences or related doctoral program, or consent of instructor.
