FINA 5400 - Financial Markets and Institutions

Focuses on the application of various statistical and econometric models to the determination of interest rates and their term structure. Simulations and AI modeling are used to explain how inflation expectations and federal monetary policy can affect interest rates and corporate borrowing costs. Introduces students to the modern international financial system and how interest rate risk can be hedged with global exposure.

Prerequisite(s): FINA 5170  or equivalent (may be taken concurrently).
