BCIS 4770 - Operating Systems Security Principles for Business



3 hours

Provides students with knowledge and skills to secure operating systems to mitigate information security breaches. Addresses basic concepts of Windows and Linux operating systems components as they relate to information security and includes various concepts and tools at the disposal of security administrators to secure workstations and servers.

Prerequisite(s): BCIS 3630  (may be taken concurrently). 2.7 UNT GPA (2.7 transfer GPA if no courses taken at UNT); a grade of C or better in each previously taken BCIS course; or consent of department.

Course specific fees (in addition to tuition and mandatory):
