EDRE 3400 - Language and Literacy Practices in Communities



3 hours

Focuses on the study of literacy practices in multilingual and Communities of Color and how these practices can become resources for children and teachers in schools. Activism is emphasized as a pedagogical stance and experienced through community involvement and service-learning experiences. Students in this course will engage in community-based literacy projects.

Prerequisite(s): EDRE 3350  

Requires field hours at an offsite location.
