PSCI 3310 - Political Theory: Quest for Justice



3 hours

Examines enduring questions about community, the individual, happiness, and justice through the analysis of such works as Plato’s “Republic,” Machiavelli’s “Prince,” and Hannah Arendt’s “The Human Condition.” Other themes include the ideal political order, the character of human excellence, the relationship between politics and society, the political responsibilities of philosophy, and the relationship between education and justice.

Prerequisite(s): 3 hours of political science.
