The Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in information technology is designed to provide a broad education so that the student can take advantage of a variety of professional opportunities in the information technology field.

Hours required and general/college requirements
A minimum of 121 semester hours, of which 42 must be advanced, and fulfillment of degree requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree as specified in the “University Core Curriculum ” in the Academics section of this catalog, and “Engineering Requirements ” as specified in the College of Engineering section of this catalog. A minimum of 31 semester hours must be completed at UNT. Major requirements
55 semester hours of computer science, including: Concentration area, 9 hours
An additional 9 hours are required in concentration area courses within the department. Supporting area, 21 hours
21 hours are required to support the information technology major and can be chosen from courses in many UNT departments. Check with CSE faculty advisor concerning eligible courses. Note
