- Select: Fall semester and Doctor of Business Administration
(This program only admits in the Fall semester)
Official Transcripts:
- Domestic Applicants: Request all colleges/universities from which you earned course credit submit official transcripts directly to UNT. Send transcripts directly from the institutions to GradAdmission@unt.edu. UNT Alumni are not required to submit transcripts except for institutions attended after leaving UNT.
- International Applicants: Upload copies of unofficial credentials and marksheets to my.unt.edu. Applicants will be required to turn in original documents prior to the start of the term.
- Note: A Master’s degree is required for the DBA program.
Activate EUID and My.UNT: You will receive an email and pin number via email from Toulouse Graduate School to my.unt.edu. Activate your EUID.
Upload required documents: In “Task” tile on my.unt.edu
- Essay: The essay should address (1) the applicant’s goals and motivations for pursuing the DBA degree, as well as detail areas of research interest, and (2) the applicant’s plans to balance the time commitment required of the program with their work schedule and other demands.
- Resume: A current professional resume is required.
- Three (3) letters/forms of recommendation either signed and on letterhead of reviewer or submitted via the recommendation form (downloadable form). The applicant may upload these to My.UNT or the recommender(s) may email them directly to DBACOBA@unt.edu.
- Interview: After a candidate’s application is complete the Graduate Programs office will reach out to schedule an interview with selection committee.
Because of the nature of the DBA and the level of experience (at least seven years) required of applicants, the GMAT or GRE is not required. However, applicants may submit standardized test scores if they choose.
Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee comprising of faculty and the director of the DBA program. The admission decision will be based on a holistic review of several aspects of the application. Some of these include:
- Managerial/executive experience
- Capacity for conducting applied scholarship
- Compatibility of professional goals with the objectives of the DBA program
- Motivation and commitment
- Master’s degree and previous coursework
- Written and verbal communication skills
