The Master of Science with a major in finance is designed to provide advanced study for the person interested in developing skills in this specific area. Intended for students desiring a strong concentration in finance, the focus of the program allows the student to gain considerable expertise in the area in a relatively short period of time. A minimum of 30 hours is required to complete the program. This is a STEM designated program.
Admission requirements
Students seeking a Master of Science with a major in finance must satisfy the admission requirements of the G. Brint Ryan College of Business.

Background requirements
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and admission to the Toulouse Graduate School are needed for graduate standing. Students who do not have a bachelor’s degree in a business field from an accredited institution may be required to complete some or all of the following courses as determined by the department:
- ACCT 2010 - Financial Accounting (or the equivalent)
- Two college-level statistics courses
- DSCI 2710 - Data Analysis with Spreadsheets (or the equivalent)
- DSCI 3710 - Business Statistics with Spreadsheets (or the equivalent)
- MATH 1190 - Business Calculus (or the equivalent)
Required courses, 18 hours
Elective courses, 12 hours
Students will select at least four elective courses to complete at least 27 hours of the minimum 30-hour requirement for the degree.
