Environmental Ethics: Level Two certificate

The University of North Texas offers academic certificate programs for graduate credit at the post-baccalaureate and post-master’s levels so as to enhance existing master’s degrees in ways that will make the university a life-long center of graduate education for the citizens of Texas, the nation and the world. The Department of Philosophy and Religion offers two certificates, both in environmental philosophy.

Admission inquiries should be directed to Dr. David Kaplan, the Director of Graduate Studies, or Dr. Eugene Hargrove, Director of the Center for Environmental Philosophy.

Course requirements, 12 hours


The advanced Environmental Ethics: Level two certificate requires completion of the Environmental Ethics: Level One certificate and 12 additional hours chosen from those listed below.

Note: Semester credit hours completed as part of the Environmental Ethics: Level One certificate do not count toward the completion of the Environmental Ethics: Level Two certificate.
