MUED 3200 - Music Education in Adolescence
3 hours
Introduction to music teaching with students in secondary settings (Grades 6–12). Topics include adolescent development, learning theories, classroom management, lesson planning, recruitment and retention, creativity, creating an effective classroom climate, and early career planning. Ensemble classrooms are of special focus in this course.
Prerequisite(s): MUED 2310 and MUED 3100 or consent of college. Must be a Music Education major.
