MUAG 1202 - Low Brass Methods

Development of pedagogical skills and knowledge for teaching trombone, euphonium, and tuba in school music settings. Prepares undergraduate music education students to go into any beginner to intermediate brass class setting and successfully teach low brass instruments (trombone, euphonium, and tuba). Skills include, but are not limited to, instruction on instrument selection, teaching posture, breathing, instrument parts, instrument assembly, embouchure, tone production, articulation, range, fingerings, transpositions, and care and maintenance for trombone, euphonium, and tuba.
