DANC 1200 - Appreciation of Dance as a Contemporary Art Form

Exploration of the aesthetics of dance as an art form. Emphasis placed on the development of an appreciation for dance as a form of communication and as a reflection of contemporary society through the lens of concert dance of the 20th and 21st centuries. Includes lectures, films and live performances, as well as written critical analysis.
