EDCI 3450 - Critical Global Perspectives in Education

Introduces students to the cosmopolitan tradition, focusing on developing global competence and critical cosmopolitan habits of mind for future teachers and their students. Topics include: Global connectedness and interculturality; interplay of local and global connections; conceptions of citizenship; cosmopolitan literacies; pedagogy and cultural creativity; the impact of international organizations, policy and economics on education; and critical perspectives on globalization.
