MATH 4450 - Introduction to the Theory of Matrices

Congruence (Hermitian); similarity; orthogonality, matrices with polynomial elements and minimal polynomials; Cayley-Hamilton theorem; bilinear and quadratic forms; eigenvalues.

Prerequisite(s): MATH 2700 .
