SOWK 4700 - Child Welfare Practice and Services

Addresses contemporary practices in the child welfare system, legal and judicial processes, understanding the dynamics of abuse/neglect, and indicators of risk. Covers a range of the child welfare services related to investigation, in-home services, out-of-home placement, and foster/adoption services for abused and neglected children. Twenty hours of service learning in a child welfare agency is required.
